It is the aim of the Ministry of Education to provide all stakeholders as well as national, regional and international partners with quality educational statistics.
To keep our stakeholders informed and meet our obligations to legislation and conventions, the Ministry of Education produces a number of reports. On an annual basis these include our Ministry of Education Annual Report to the Public Service Commission, the Annual Report to Parliament, through the Audit Office, our Annual Audit Report, and the Annual Statistics Report. The Ministry also completes a number of other reports for regional and international bodies including UNESCO Institute for Statistics which responds to the international goals of UNESCO and Education 2030, the global education agenda that is part of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Executive Summaries of School Quality Assurance reports are also published and can be found under School Reviews on this website. Annual Stakeholders Report, where we present on the achievements and challenges to education in the previous year and identify the next steps in our programmes, can also be found under Education Sector Stakeholders Report. New initiatives are also presented.
The Ministry of Education acknowledges the contributions made by all the schools, providers, ministry divisions, regional and international agencies, notably that of the Pacific Community (SPC) and their Statistics for Development Division, who support the collection and data analysis of the education statistics for annual publication.
